Had a good meal, scallops casserole with green beans & rice. Bar service was great. The bar is usually fairly lively, friendly people. My only issue, as the are Known as the Best NH Martinis, my standard $10 beefeater jumped to $13.50 A 35% increase? Hope it was an error.

Local to the area Will recommend Would return Meeting with family that we haven't seen in a really long time, found reviews to restaurants in the area that we live in this one came up had some wonderful ratings so we decided to try it. Also took a look at the menu and read a couple reviews. Made reservations which I'm very glad we did because it's a small restaurant and they were jampacked and we had reservations for 4 PM. We originally planned to have it for six but they were already packed and we called the day before, the area that this restaurant is located in. You would not think that it would be a top notch restaurant and have as many people as it did Our waiter whose name was Brian was very efficient and knew what he was doing. He understood. This was our first time at the restaurant and he gave us enough time to order. He separated our appetizers from our main course. He gave us time to chitchat. I thought the size of the restaurant was OK. It was a little loud because of the size of the area. It was I felt dark in the restaurant that's the type of lighting that they have that wouldn't determine me or keep me away though The prices at the restaurant for a meal were roughly $20 and up per person The portion size was great. The temperature was great. The flavoring was on point. I found the jambalaya to be a bit spicy, but still edible. Definitely if you're in the area, I would recommend stopping at this place and trying it out

I don't have a lot to say that others haven't already noted, but I'll try to weigh in here... In a city that's replete with mid-range restaurants, it can be a bit hard to choose where to go. If you haven't been yet, and are looking for an above average restaurant that would be good for a slightly upscale business meal, date or just a nice night out, it should be on your short list. I have a few businesses in the area that I like to frequent when visiting, and Cotton is likely to be on that list whenever I'm in the area for a few days. The outside of the restaurant is interesting. The large sign you see from downtown are actually on the back, where it abuts Commercial Street, while the entrance is actually on the parking lot side toward the river. It's rather unassuming as you walk up, but has a nice feel upon entering. The parking is also plentiful and easy to get, so you'll have less of a struggle than elsewhere in the city (Though I've never had much of a problem finding parking in Manchester). While I only tried a couple things, the food itself was all on point. The lamb steak meal was nicely plated, dead on the temp, and well seasoned. Good enough that I'd want it again, and have a mental battle over whether or not to branch out and try something new. The service from the bartender was also great. Attentive and kind, with a good cocktail in hand.

The ambiance was dimly lit and romantic, nice setup with a long bar on one end and with a separation which had booths and tables on the other side. Extensive cocktail list, decent wine list, and perfectly sized dinner menu. A shorter list of offerings but all of high quality. My party and I all loved our meals, all so fresh and full of flavor.

Bri provided awesome friendly service! Nice strong cocktails. Food was on par compared to the other nice spot in town. Brined breast not bad, usually it's a faux pas for me on fried chicken but brining works and I can tell it's quiet juicy and good quality. Steak was cooked well too. Others were standard.
